I can at least say thanks to Agent Orange, Jo T, "mach 0.0013137", Mel and K. Serial numbers may be found on movements, case backs or dials depending on the make, model and age of the watch in question. Newer Breitling models (circa 2001 and beyond) may be dated via a number stamped on the case between the lower lugs.
It's not unusual to find movements that are one or two years older than the cases containing them. Perhaps less reliably, stamps on bracelets (circa 1995 and beyond) provide a manufacturing date in the same way.
They undergo nearly 1,000 checks during production, while all movements (mechanical and quartz alike) have successfully passed the extremely stringent tests of the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute).
Any manufacturing fault is also covered by an international warranty valid for two years from the date of purchase, or for five years for watches equipped with a Manufacture movement.
in Navitimers The Third digit designate if the watch is or is not COSC certified 0 : Non COSC movement 3 : COSC certified movement The two las digits .... in fact of course it is not, but the logic if fairly tricky to undersand : let us say that using the caliber number and the last two digits, the model can be determined Exemples for Navitimers : A13019 : Old Navitimer, steel, (non COSC) A13020 : Old Navitimer II, steel (non COSC) A13320 : Old Navitimer II, steel COSC certified D30022 : Navitimer 92, Steel and Gold (non COSC) K13020 : Old Navitimer II, Gold (non COSC) Serial numbers of watches post 1978 A serial number is assigned for each type of part number (not like ther old system where all Breitlings had a sequencial number) , therefore it is NOT possible to certainly date a Breitling modern watch with its serial number.
Breitling watches are entirely manufactured in Switzerland, according to the strictest quality Swiss watchmaking standards.
Any person having purchased a Breitling watch or chronograph from an authorized Breitling retailer can claim cover under the international warranty by showing the electronic Breitling international warranty card to any authorized Breitling retailer or distributor, as well as to any authorized Breitling service center.
Your Breitling watch or chronograph is guaranteed against any manufacturing defect for a two-year period.
The first character of the serial number represents the year of manufacture within a particular decade whilst the second two characters represent the month (01-09 for January to September and 10-12 for October to December).
A perfect emblem of the Breitling for Bentley spirit, the Bentley B06 chronograph weds stylish aesthetics with Manufacture Breitling Calibre B06, entirely developed and produced in the Breitling Chronométrie workshops.
It is distinguished by its ingenious “30-second chronograph” system, inspired by a Breitling patent dating from 1926 and based on a central hand sweeping around the dial in half a minute – thereby ensuring extremely accurate eighth-of-a-second time readings.
The warranty takes effect as of the date of purchase of the watch.
The electronic international warranty card will be honored by official Breitling partners worldwide providing this card has been activated at the time of purchase by an authorized Breitling salesperson.
